G.W. Henderson

“With the release of Down South Shakin’, GW Henderson has concocted a one of a kind sound that’s electric as lightning. A unique blend of styles that capture a sense of old weird America while moving traditions of the past to the here and now.” - Kris Truelson, WBCM Radio Bristol, Program Director. In this modern age there are very few artist that capture and reimagine the sounds of the past like GW Henderson. His rhythmic guitar and warm baritone voice, steeped in the history of American music, create a sound that could only be born in the juke joints and dance halls of the rural south. His captivating solo performances will make you move your feet ,and when his band starts cooking you’re guaranteed to be dancing until the sun comes up. GW Henderson has toured the US and Canada co-billing shows with Sierra Ferrell, Molly Tuttle, Old Crow Medicine Show, Jerron “Blind Boy” Paxton, and Dom Flemons. He has played the stages of Woodsongs Radio Hour and the Winnipeg Folk Festival, as well as numerous radio shows, smaller festivals, and clubs across North America
